Offshore reports have certainly begun to heat back up!  A 110lb wahoo was caught this week in 200′ of water on a rigged split tail mullet along with some massive porgy and some large yellowtail snapper! American red snapper season has been extended so be sure to check your dates. Big mangrove snapper are still being reported in the nearshore Gulf of Mexico as well as a few giant amberjacks. The nearshore permit bite has been decent on the wrecks as well as a few solid hogfish from the ledges. Inshore fishing is staying pretty consistent with some nice redfish and snook in the bay and some fun juvenile tarpon in the evenings. The name of the game is beat the heat, so early morning and evenings will have a bit more action typically. Stop in and see us! As always, tight lines!!
