Have you wanted to get out and explore Sarasota Bay on your own? You’re in luck! We have both kayak and SUP rentals available for you!
The best way to go and connect with nature and explore the beautiful Sarasota Bay area on water is to rent a kayak or stand up paddleboard. This way you can set your own pace, take your time or go as quickly as you want to. You can explore as many or as few mangrove islands or tunnels, look for playing dolphins or manatees now that they’re in trying to stay warm. Take a day and go fishing from a kayak, you won’t regret it!
We have a wide variety of kayaks available for you to rent. Our rentals include both sit on top and sit in kayak varieties. They include the Hurricane, Wilderness Systems, Perception and Hobie brands of kayak. These are top of the line and any beginner kayaker can use them. If however, you are renting a sit in kayak, you will need to have some basic kayak skills for this type. There are so many areas you can go kayak, check out some of them from our blog here.
Our SUP rental line includes the BIC/SIC and Hobie stand up paddleboards. Once you’ve enjoyed one yourself, you’ll see what the hype is all about.
We don’t offer guided tours here at Economy Tackle/Dolphin Paddlesports, but we do offer self-guided tours, and even provide you with a waterproof map of the area. Just two minutes from our store is a beautiful launch site, Phillippi Creek. There you will find an amazing mangrove lined ecosystem. The creek enters into Roberts and Sarasota Bay. There is plenty of wildlife, where you will find both dolphins and manatees. This paddle is suitable for beginners and advanced paddlers alike.
