Calmer conditions offer anglers fantastic inshore and offshore fishing this week. Inshore bite has been hot! Larger redfish and snook are showing interest in multiple types of artificial baits as well as live bait if you can get it. Mangrove snapper either inshore (Sarasota Bay) or offshore have been plentiful as well. Gag grouper are holding to the nearshore wrecks in numbers. There are still some scattered tarpon along the beaches but you will primarily find them in the passes at this time. Crabs are becoming more scarce, so offer them artificial baits ( DOA Baitbusters, flies or larger soft plastics). Beach fishing for snook can be very productive this time of year. Warmer water makes for happy fish!!
