Some solid redfish can be found sunning in the sandholes. Golden bream lil johns can be great rigged weedless on a wide gap hook. Sheepshead can be found around most structure inshore..docks..pilings etc. Present live shrimp to them for your best result. Pompano have been found in the passes and scattered along beaches as well. Smaller permit can be found mixed in with them also. Snapper action is hot in the nearshore gulf!! Some very healthy mangoves as well as lane snappers have been abundant. Tripletail can be found around some crab buoy lines and under floating debris. They are delicious! check your regulations though as they now must be “18 to keep. Use a live shrimp for tripltail or a shrimp pattern fly, preferably a lighter more natural color. Enjoy!!
